As you may already know Kilanerin NS is part of the Creative Schools Programme. This initiative is supported by the Arts Council of Ireland. This initiative is focused on developing the creative potential of every child. It aims to put the arts and creativity at the heart of children and young people’s lives. Over the past year, we have been working together to develop a whole school plan for a creative initiative in our school.
Our Creative Associate is Laura Ní Fhlaibhín who is a well renowned artist and sculptor.
Laura facilitated a day of focus groups with all the classes last week, and we created a collaborative large scale artwork!
