As part of our writing genre focus on persuasive writing, third class have been actively engaging in class debates. We integrated this with our SESE learning on renewable energy, sparking lively discussions on the topic: 'Should peat be used as a source of energy in Ireland?'. Through research, critical thinking and teamwork, the children developed well-informed arguments while deepening their understanding of sustainability and energy choices.
